Civil War Letter Camp at Union Mills Virginia June 19, 1863

  Written by a union soldier at a Camp at Union Mills Va. June 19th, 1863. Some excerpts......... 

Dear Mother,
I received your last letter on the 16th, was very glad to hear from home and that you are well. I am sorry to hear father is worse he has been sick a long time........We are back to our old station again you see the railroad is abandoned beyond here, the Army of the Potomac has fallen back and nothing now remains in front of this line.......such hosts of men and horses and wagons all in one moving mass was a sight to behold.......Centerville road is in sight of our camp, the column was passing in sight of our camp, the column was passing in sight of here from Saturday morning till Wednesday noon, the 6th Army Corps came up by way of world run shoals to ?......the Vermont Brigade is in that corps.
